It occurred to me that it's a term that may not be all that familiar. I'm sure though most people have heard of Velcro? Super sticky; it hooks and clings and is hard to shift. A bit like our thought world.
We could all do with a regular feed of positivity and perspective right now. Some of the most helpful psychological skills are those that target psychological flexibility and self-perspective; we can draw on some of the defusion strategies I use in my work and intersperse with techniques drawn from the Positive Psychology model.
